About The Whittier to Anchorage Tour
Our Whittier to Anchorage Wildlife Tour is designed for guests who value small group and private tour authentic Alaskan experiences. We've curated this tour based upon hundreds of guests' feedback and decades of our own experience living and loving Alaska.
Join us on this tour through the Portage Valley, where you'll view hanging glaciers and (seasonal) spawning salmon. Next, we'll guide you through the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where you’ll encounter bears, moose, bison, wolves, and other native wildlife in a stunning natural setting. On the way to Anchorage, we'll visit the Girdwood and stop at our favorite local lunch spot (ask about the award-winning Seafood Chowder) For a final adventure, enjoy a short walk to cascading Virgin Falls—a breathtaking backdrop for unforgettable memories.
Once arriving in Anchorage, your guide will show you the highlights and provide a personalized drop-off at your lodging or airport.

Portage Valley Glaciers
Our tour begins in port town of Whittier, where our expert guide will welcome you and your group. As we travel towards Anchorage, prepare for breathtaking views of Hanging Glaciers, engaging stories about the local history and culture.
Wildlife Conservation Center
As we venture through the diverse Alaskan landscapes, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings. Our route is known for encounters with moose, eagles, and possibly even bears, in their natural habitat. Our guide will share insights into the behavior and habitats of these amazing creatures, making your wildlife tour both thrilling and informative. We also always stop at the Wildlife Conservation Center. It's a great opportunity to see many Alaskan Animals across hundreds of acres
Your tour includes a stop in Girdwood for lunch and a short walk up to Virgin Falls. Heading into Anchorage, we'll continue to look for wildlife and share some short highlights of Anchorage before dropping you at your lodging or airport.
