  Itinerary

  • Your exploration of the largest city in Alaska begins Downtown. Anchorage is a great place to start your local, guided exploration. Historic Downtown is a must followed by a short drive to the Anchorage Railroad Depot where we will stop at the Ulu Factory https://theulufactory.com/ and Ship Creek salmon stream.

  • Your local Alaskan guide then transports you to Earthquake Park and Lake Hood Floatplane Base,  which is our nation’s most active lake aerodrome.

  • Our next stop is Beluga Point which is just south of the city on the Turnagain arm. This destination features incredible Alaskan vistas and wildlife viewing. Dahl Sheep and Alaskan Mountain Goats are often visible on the rocky crags of the Chugach mountains. Migrating Beluga Whales can be seen plying through the fjord waters.

  •  Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center - After Beluga Point, we stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. This is your guaranteed, up-close opportunity to see bears, elk, moose, and many other Alaskan animals.

  • Byron Glacier Trail- Our final destination is the Glacier River Walk to Byron Glacier. This easy 20-25 minute walk allows you the opportunity to walk along the river water produced from the valley of Bryon Glacier via our guided walk up to view the glacier itself.

  • (Please note the Glacier walk is seasonal.) Generally, from May to October. November-April we will still be able to view hanging glaciers in Portage Valley and we add the Whittier Tunnel Excursion for our winter guests.

  • The last stop is Girdwood, where there's an optional lunch stop at our favorite local Alaskan cafe.

  • As your tour concludes, we would be happy to drop you at your choice of Anchorage restaurants for dinner or simply return to your lodging to freshen up before resuming activities.
