About The Anchorage Wilderness and Wildlife Tour

Our Anchorage Wilderness & Wildlife Tour is the perfect day trip for travelers who want to see authentic Alaska — up close and personal — without venturing too far from the city. We begin with a short tour of Anchorage and then onto a scenic drive along the Glenn Highway. At the Reindeer Farm in Palmer, you’ll have the rare chance to feed and interact with reindeer, moose, alpacas, and more. This hands-on experience is a guest favorite and a memory you’ll never forget!

Next, we'll head up into the mountains to the stunning Hatcher Pass, Depending on the season, you may see snow-dusted peaks, wildflowers, or golden tundra — and enjoy a peaceful walk near Summit Lake or along the Little Susitna River. Stop in Palmer, a charming Alaskan town where you can grab a bite for lunch. We’ll finish the day with a scenic walk through nature where well-maintained, flat trails wind through forested landscapes with the occasional moose sighting and drop you off back at your hotel or lodging.

OUR GUESTS SAY IT BEST!
"My husband and I met a wonderful tour guide Don who escorted us everywhere. We wanted to go and met every need that we had. He was very pleasant and he shared some of his favorite beautiful scenic spots with us as he was a local. My husband and I were not disappointed with the weather. It was slightly overcast and rainy, but it could’ve been worse and we were able to get out of the Vehicle and walk around and enjoy many different scenic spots breathtaking views!!! welcome Anchorage was timely and prompt brought a snacks and water and hand sanitizer. It was a pleasure spending the day with our guide, Don!!We recommend this tour company. Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed thank you Welcome Anchorage Tours !!!
